On June 7, 2022, Buzzagogo, Inc. issued a voluntary recall of one lot of its Allergy Bee Gone for Kids Nasal Swab Remedy over suspicion of potential microbial contamination. In non-immunocompromised patients (the population segment most likely to use the product), using the recalled product may lead to a wide range of non-infectious complications such as non-invasive fungal rhinosinusitis. The infections are expected to be relatively mild among this population segment and more responsive to treatment.
To date, the manufacturer has not received any complaints related to microbial concerns or reports of severe health effects related to the use of the recalled product.

The Allergy Bee Gone for Kids Nasal Swab Remedy is primarily used to alleviate allergy symptoms. It is usually packaged in individual tubes for topical nasal application.
The affected product lot is 2006491 with an expiration date of 8/2024 and UPC 860002022116. You can easily identify the affected nasal swabs by checking the lot number and expiration date on the bottom of the packaging carton.
The affected lot number was distributed nationwide to wholesale distributors, conventional retail stores, and Amazon.com. Some of the products in this lot were also listed for sale on the company’s official website.
