Jan. 20, 2018 – A Pullman business owner was convicted in Whitman County Superior Court of first-degree child molestation.
The Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Victor Hudak (52), was convicted on Thursday of one count for child molestation.
Hudak could spend 51-68 years in prison. If he is released, he will need to register as a sexual offender and receive life-time supervision from the department of corrections. To determine Hudak’s sentence, Whitman County Judge Gary Libey has scheduled a hearing for February 17.
Hudak was seen above an 11-year-old girl swimming in a creek close to Pullman’s playfields on July 24, 2018 according to the release. It is further alleged that Hudak approached the victims in the creek and saw that he had an abortion.
Hudak helped the survivor’s stepsister into a tree by taking the girls to the playfields. He then reached out with his hand to touch the 11-year old victim’s buttocks while the 6-year-old was still in the tree. The girls went home to tell their stepmother and father what had happened and their dad called police.
Hudak issued a protection order for the survivor for life. The jury heard testimony from another victim and Officer Nathan Padrta, who presented a 2019 case in which Hudak grabbed a 14 year-old girl’s bottom multiple times while working at Atom Heart Music.
Hudak was charged and pleaded guilty to assault in the fourth degree with sex motivation. Court Commissioner Doug Robinson sentenced Hudak and he was sent to jail for three months in 2019.
According to the Whitman County Superior Court Clerk, Hudak is still in Whitman County Jail until his sentencing without bond hearing.
