Laurie Newman Gallagher, Esq., has over 35 years of experience as an attorney.  Her experience has included practice as a solo practitioner, staff research attorney for the Silicone Breast Implant Multi-District Litigation and serving as client development manager for a large law firm.

She has worked on numerous projects involving research and electronic discovery on large class actions and MDLs, from medical devices and pharmaceuticals to insurance and antitrust suits. 

Prior to her work in these larger cases, she practiced in areas of law such as estate planning, bankruptcy, and family law matters.

In addition to her years of experience as a practicing attorney, Laurie has also worked for Westlaw, Lexis, Shepard’s, Matthew Bender, and BNA as a legal research coordinator and educator. 

She has trained hundreds of attorneys to use these services, from pre-law students to federal judges.

Since 2007, Laurie has worked with hundreds of attorneys and expert witnesses as CEO of her own expert witness consulting practice.  

She is personally involved in every expert witness research project, creating a protocol for each project using the proprietary criteria sheet she designed for The Legal Expert Witness Network.

Over the last decade, Laurie has created a proprietary database of expert witness information in practically every discipline. 

Laurie is a member of The Alabama State Bar, The American Bar Association and several ABA committees, including the Expert Witness Subcommittee of the Section of Litigation.  She was also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council. 

She was Managing Editor of the Law and Psychology Review and the New College Review.

She has created and presented dozens of CLE programs ranging from legal research and marketing ethics for attorneys to areas of substantive law in practically every practice area.
